These pendants are made using molds carved from cuttlebone (yes, the same kind that's hung in birdcages!). This ancient technique yields natural, random, rippling patterns that resemble wood grain. The mold is destroyed in the casting process, so each one of these pendants is unique. Finished with a hand-constructed sterling bail.

Inspired by the randomly shaped cells found in many natural structures, including spongy bone and sea fans, this sterling cuff bracelet features a tapered, curving shape that conforms nicely to the base of the hand when worn with the peak of the curve pointing toward the fingers. A template is used to keep the overall shape consistent, but the "cells" are drawn freeform, and each bracelet is cut and textured by hand.
